This petal card needs a message stamped on it yet but I dont know what I want to use it for so this is as far as it's got:

I really dislike this lotus card but I think I should do more in the way of sewing on cards.

The first and last are the only ones I really like lol.

This is my first time trying out my frog stamps. This first card looked wrong so I made the second one slimmer and it looks so cute...though in the photos it just looks like a normal sized card. I need to practice my colouring in!

Monday night card making

Thinking of you cards are what I really need more of, you can use them for so many things. These were made to fill that need, and to use up the thin blue scraps of cardboard I had laying around and wanted to use up.

Also I must report. At the beginning of this year I set myself a goal of making 50 'things' in 2009. Currently I have made and shown you photos of 61 cards I've made this year so I think that counts as challenge complete and perhaps it should have been more like 200-300 items lol? I've also completed 12 other projects (glass pendants, knitting etc...) this year so I'm up to 73 things I've made this year so far. Not bad!

Today I knitted the hat that matches the cardigan I just made my unborn niece. It was a LOT of knitting for something so tiny lol. Though I did the 0 months size, it looks big compared to the cardigan but we'll see how it fits when it arrives huh! The pattern also called for a pom-pom on top which I am NOT going to do.

Next up...matching booties (just as soon as my hands stop aching from knitting this hat lol).

YAY! I finished the cardigan I started last weekend. It's for my sister Jan...have a guess what she's having lol. I just need to buy three light pink buttons to sew on. I am sooo glad I dont have to knit that bright pink wool anymore, but I am also delighted because I think it's kinda cute. I'm gonna make matching booties before baby is born.

This photo is just so you can see how small it actually is! It's a newborn sized cardigan.

I also made this pendant today. It was my first attempt with stripy glass and also my first attempt at adding bling (you have to drill a tiny hole while the glass is underwater before you can add the bling and cook it). I cooked it a little too long as I wanted straight lines but Ryan loves how it turned out and he is right, it still looks ok with the curves.

Current project

One of my many Easter long weekend projects. No WAY will I get this one finished because it is heavily patterned. I'm loving how it is shaping up so I am keen to continue but my hands are telling me to stop knitting for the day lol.

I stuffed up one row of my other cardigan so I have to undo about 5 rows but I wont do that until the morning so I can see it in proper light.

Fingerless gloves

Glove number one is finished! I made it yesterday and sewed it up this morning. This is from the pattern I showed you in a previous entry, but I chose a wool that doesnt show the pattern too much (you can see it better in person than in the photos). I also added extra stitches (4) to increase the width as my hands are very large!
