Bachi bag

Ok so I admit, I don't like sewing all that much lol. But I do it when I need something done. My current need was for a bag to put my bachi inside when I go to drum class. This material was so beautiful that I just couldnt resist buying it when I was at the store with one of my girlfriends! And so the bag was created! See the little leaves on this? They're the pattern for the lining of the bag.

Here I am showing you the inside of the bag. This material is shimmery just like the outside. This was a fun project and not too stressful.

Here are my first 14 cards of 2013.

This is a simple card, one red layer with white heat embossing then I just cut a couple of butterflies and  layered them for some dimension on the card. Two of these with different butterflies:

For Christmas, I got a diagonal plate and used it to make this background, see the raised up diagonal pattern in the background?

Didnt get these flowers AT ALL evenly spaced but it doesnt really matter.

With these next two, I was seeing if I liked a white card background or a pink card background. I can't decide!

I had this piece of blue dyed paper left over from a Christmas card so I embossed it, drew on some fake stitching and added a butterflu that I painted using watercolour crayons then cut out with a die:

This was from left overs of a card I made last year:

These two are very similar. The coloured panels are stuck down to the white card then I embossed all the layers together, stamped a greeting, layered it onto a flower punch and stuck it on with dimension foam.

I stole this idea from pinterest. it was quick and easy and looks reasonably elegant though I would stamp the background with a different stamp next time. Each of these two has a different embossed pattern in the background (the lower white layer):

And finally two of this card. They're totally identical. They are much cuter in person! I put a little blob of blue in each flower which ties it together nicely...I like how they turned out but next time I'll make it a slightly shorter card, or perhaps a square card?
