I've just made some little notecards. They are pretty mall, 7cm high by 9cm wide. I'm using up more of the textured and unusual papers I have. They are all made the same way:
1. Cut card 14cmx9cm and fold in half
2. Cut patterned paper half centimetre smaller than folded card
3. Rip one edge of the paper and stick it onto base card
4. Stamp 'thanks a bunch' onto white card in different coloured inks.
5. Cut around stamp and glue onto card that matches the base card
6. Select matching ribbon, cut, fold in half and sellotape onto card
7. Glue/tape the circle image over the ribbon to cover the sellotape you used

On a card making roll!
Cards I made today...
Ryan loves this card. I quite like it too, though I wish I had stamped that swirl stamp a little lower so it was on the bottom blue segment of the card a little more. I do still like it though.
The giraffe stamp I bought today. A very simple card coz I was really just trying out the colours to see what worked with colouring in the giraffe. I think I need a slightly more brown pen for the spots, though this works sort of ok in the meantime? This stamp cost $30 but with all the children in my life, I should get some use out of it!

boredom
Tonight's two creations were just because I was bored. I quite like this first card, it's quick and easy yet somehow nice?
Not so fond of this one. I made a couple of mistakes (in as much as you can make mistakes when you are making something up). It's ok but I would be embarrased to actually give this to someone as a birthday card.

A night of card making...and a morning.
Last night was card making at Sheryl's house. I made five cards. When I go there I have to pre-select card/stamps and any other supplies to take with me. Then I have to try and make something with them which I really struggle with. Last night I made this card but I'm not sure I even like it! That's three diamantes on the left hand square, they always look bad in photos but so cute in real life!
I decided that I will try to bulk make cards with a few colour changes. So last night I used my newish dinosaur stamp. I bought it a few months back and had only used it once (see previous entry) so I took it over and showed Sheryl how to colour them (you need a special blender pen to blend the colour of the nose and feet to the body. She stamped and coloured in HEAPS of them but here are mine. I've left some room at the top so I can add a happy birthday stamp which will be stamped on white and layered to match the card.
Then this morning I thought I would use up some random scraps of paper and do some quick note cards. This was an idea Sheryl showed me last night. She borrows a bit of my technique (more involved than hers usually but hers are sometimes simple and cute) and I borrow a bit of hers. So this design is from Sheryl but the four cards below are made by me.
This first one is using paper my friend Sharain sent me from USA. I LOVE that packet of paper, they are all cute patterns (especially the little birds).
